Steve Achram

Steve Achram, PE, DBIA, is the CEO of Cella Building Company. He has more than 20 years of experience in development, design, and construction leadership, and has led multidisciplinary teams in delivering more than $1 billion in commercial, multifamily, industrial, civic, and large-scale renewable energy projects. Highlights include owner's representation for the Acrisure Amphitheater and the Amway soccer stadium, as well as Meijer supercenters across multiple states, a 600,000 SF distribution campus, Kent County's recycling facilities, utility-scale solar, and mixed-use infill in Grand Rapids.

Steve has worked every side of the table: field laborer, site civil engineer, owner's project manager, design-builder, developer, and executive with full P&L accountability. That range shapes how he serves clients today. Most of a project's success is decided early, in site selection, entitlements, the pro forma, and the delivery method, well before construction starts. As a licensed Professional Engineer and DBIA-certified design-build professional, Steve helps clients get those early decisions right. Then he makes sure the Cella team delivers on budget, schedule, and quality.

He leads with a Triple Bottom Line mindset: People, Planet, Profit. Steve believes in servant leadership, which means setting a clear vision and clear expectations, helping each person on the team reach their goals, and welcoming healthy debate in both directions.

Outside of Cella, Steve serves on the City of East Grand Rapids Planning Commission and is an assistant hockey coach with the Grand Rapids Amateur Hockey Association (GRAHA).

Steve holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University and an MBA from Northwood University's DeVos Graduate School of Management.
